Barbados National NGO Network offers informal networking and collaborative opportunities such as community events and shared workspaces to allow non-profit organization professionals to exchange tacit industry knowledge and thereby improve the sustainability of local charitable organizations (Barbados National NGO Network, 2018).
The Caribbean Policy Development Centre is dedicated to forming strategic partnerships with people, governments and relevant partners to influence the design and implementation of capacity building services and information in the civil society sector across the Caribbean region (The Caribbean Policy Development Centre, 2018).
Caribbean Collaborative provides a civic engagement platform to connect volunteers and other field experts in the sector to build a community in which non-profit management expertise and general assistance is shared between third sector shareholders to ensure non-profit organization operational efficiency (Caribbean Collaborative, 2018).
ASPIRE Foundation (Barbados) Inc supports civic engagement and upliftment of the local voluntary sector by providing opportunities such as incubator programs to help charities develop partnerships with third sector leaders and business experts so that such civil society organizations can secure funding to help carry out their purpose in meeting critical social needs (ASPIRE Foundation (Barbados) Inc, 2018).
TEN Habitat is dedicated to supporting social entrepreneurs and changemakers by exposing them to a range of hands-on support encompassing a global network of mentors to:- help civil society organization founders nurture the growth of innovative ideas into building a social enterprise that delivers on their mandate aimed at alleviating social issues, fund programmes and build long term sustainability (TEN Habitat, 2018).
Barbados Entrepreneurship Foundation works alongside upcoming and established civil society organizations to encourage traditional for-profit businesses to incorporate social corporate responsibility initiatives into their business plans thereby creating an entrepreneurial eco-system of wealth creators to make social policies affordable and reshape the local economy (Barbados Entrepreneurship Foundation, 2018).
Project X Barbados is an initiative which assists local entrepreneurs in the development, financing and implementation of upcoming non-profit organizations and social impact projects. It supports entrepreneurs in the following services areas: - access to micro-funding, exposure to innovative digital payments solution, mentorship, training and development, links to resource boards as well as facilitation of business to business arrangements (Project X Barbados, 2018).
The Barbados Centre for Non-profit Excellence provides local non-profit organizations with diverse digital resources to help them attract and maintain funding in order to improve efficiency and thereby broaden their constituency to create sustainable social change in Barbados.
We administer a social media knowledge management tool that provides useful information such as opportunities, resources, tools
and success stories to help local non-profit organizations with limited project experience maintain funding for their programs.
The Barbados Centre for Non-profit Excellence is a civil society cause delivering an online information service to local non-profit organization professionals. We are not a registered charity and currently do not have a physical office space in Barbados.
